The C5050 has a very powerful flash and sometimes it is so powerful that it practically blows people away.

It has two buttons : flash and ex. compensation.When I press both together I get a choice of either + or minus .3, .7, 1.0, 1.3, 1.7 and 2.00.

My question is: If I change to say -1.00 or -2.00 what affect will it have on the flash power please?

Will it be like fill in flash? Even though with "flash on" [supposed to be fill in flash ]It still seems too strong for the subject matter.
