Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to buy a new camera this week. I've been looking for months and have narrowed my choices to the Panasonic Lumix TZ7 and the Olympus SP590UZ. Only problem being, I cannot decide between the two!

Basically, I'm looking for something which will really allow me to advance - a sort of middle house before moving into SLR territory. I've been using a Canon ixus up until now and it's pretty poor. I'd like to choose a camera with excellent zoom capabilities, a wide angle lense for sweeping panaromic shots, and also the ability to take crisp macro pictures.

I've read the reviews on this website - which have been amazing - but these two cameras seem to be close rivals and I can't seem to make a decision between them. Any suggestions welcome...

If you haven't already, get to a camera store and actually try using them. All the reviews in the world won't tell you if the camera fits nicely in your hands. If after trying them both, you still can't choose between them, choose the cheaper one. If they are exactly the same price, flip a coin - life is too short to agonize over these decisions too much!
