Is anyone fed up of the big retailers or online idiots?

i had a run in with two internet retailers - and then the next week with jessops refusing to find me a warranty for a camera....

hmmm, "you probably won't need it". I payed for it though!!!!

nice one jessops. I decided to get a refund the next day having been treated so badly.

Eventually, deciding photography was a passion i can't get rid of, i tried to find a smaller retailer online that has the dynax 7d.

and found www.edinburghcameras.co.uk waiting for the worst, i was quietly delighted for once. Got the camera in 2 days for the same price as it was in jessops. Warranty and all - AMazing! The little things in life./ Cracking simple site as well if your buying.

Has anyone else had any bad stories with net retailers recently???

I know hundreds who want to take down jessops but not heard much about the net sites.

I'd always recommend buying local if you can. Worth the extra cost for peace of mind if anything goes wrong. When I lived in London, CameraWorld on Wells Street were always helpful and quite competitive on price too.

Of course, Paris is a different kettle of fish altogether! biggrin.gif

So what's the 7D like then?

Not a bad experience to report but a good one - www.warehouseexpress.com. Cheapest prices for the camera + lenses I wanted, and were helpful on the phone when one of the lenses went out of stock. I'd buy from them again.
