I have always covetted a Leica but am loath to pay their prices. Recently Voigtlander released the Bessa R range and at last I was able to afford a decent rangefinder camera that takes Leitz lenses.

By trawling Ebay I have at last been able to find an affordable Leitz Elmar 90mm lens. The other lens I have is Voigtlander 25mm which gives superb results. I now suspect that for a few pounds more I could have bought a new Voigtlander 90mm lens which will outperform the Leitz.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
