I'm wondering whether anyone can shed some like on this? There are so many rebranded cameras out there, this page mentions it regarding Gateway's cameras: http://www.imaging-resource.com/NEWS/1062088353.html - but there are so many other people that seem to rebrand cheap digital cameras, eg Praktica, Vivitar, Minox, Rollei, even Minolta and Konica (on low end models), Toshiba etc - why is this? And who really manufactures these cameras?

my site: http://joshwaller.tk has more examples.

eg Ricoh Caplio RR230, same as Konica KD-220Z, Minox DC 2133, Premier DC 2302

all the same: Concord Eye-Q 2133z, Minolta E223, Trust 770Z Optical, Rollei d 20 motion,

etc etc

Well all these mentioned models are from the gray market, where the original model is being copied in term of features. And then re-branded with another name. I would suggest you not to go for such cheap stuff.
