After I went to the Photo Academy in Amsterdam I became a freelance photographer ten years ago.
What makes me a good photographer is that I am a great observer. That appears to be very obvious, but it isn't. I don't add anything but I create my own world, through my eyes, through my lens. My force is a silent one, inevitable, leading to a new way of seeing reality, in its essence.
That makes my work striking, unmistakable Carool van der Hagen.
