||I am a full time commercial photographer and part time photography professor at Ohio University. My artistic passion centers on spatial and contextual intersections; the meeting of man made forms with nature, the boundary between land and sea, the contrast of the old and weathered with the new and beautiful. Through the medium of photography, I attempt to seek out, capture and convey these dynamic intersecting themes. I also use digital manipulation techniques on some images to push the contrast of elements to extremes creating new realities.
My subjects range from architecture and landscapes to people and still life, but all are rooted in a sense of place and a desire to visually capture all of the sensory experiences in a scene. I want the viewer to not only see what I shoot, but to hear, smell, taste, and even feel it.
