Lol!!! This egret looks a stern taskmaster! Super close up - don't think I have ever seen the colour of their eyes before - so pink! And that beak looks wickedly sharp! Viv

It's a beauty Maggi. I think it is what we call a "Great Egret" down here. They have two distinct kinks in their neck, and that pea green facial skin is normally yellow/orange, but goes green in breeding plumage. Love the detail and sympathetic b/g colour...and don't forget that beautiful "bokeh" Alan
this is wonderful, love the details and clarity on the egret. And just to be annoying i'll mention that some people wouldn't consider this true bokeh in the same way as the last one, in that it doesnt have those 'disc's of light' (but others would argue it is, so who's to say!)
