Lost in London

The world famous London Gherkin (the Sir Thomas Foster Building) in the background, overlooking an earlier building with an ancient church in the foreground. Note the modern road signs too.
I was lost in some back streets and just happened to look back. Worth getting lost for an hour?

I walk past this church quite a lot and never occured to me to take a photo. You have captured the story of london for me.

Like jaypkay this is a view I know well and remember before the Gherkin rose from the ashes. The only slight remark I have is the one way sign. Hard to avoid perhaps but if only it wasn't there. That said I love the contrast between the Swiss Re tower and St Andrews church. Old meets new.
