Sentimental vote here. Oh the memory. These birds were common when I grew up in my community. Now they are far and few in between the herds of squirrels who've eaten their eggs year after year and have driven them to near extinction. I got nothing against squirrels, but cute squirrels don't outweigh respect for nature. Birds like this have a right to be here, too. Wonderful capture. Thanks!
