Maybe they're not going to lunch because they are still asleep. Would love to get paid to sleep.
With respect to the photo I would offer a suggestion. (Yes, my experience is expanding. So, I will offer this.) All the colors are too light. Could use some contrasting colors or shadowing. You can do this with editing or darkroom work. Don't believe there is anything wrong with this; its part of the art. Might just tweek the tones, a bit.
