Convicts built the road west from Sydney. Their agonised struggle made it possible for us to cross those mountains and, ultimately, allowed the colony to flourish. This image captures the pain and emotion that those men must have felt.
I like it., I like what appears to be stars in the sky but i prefer to think its dust from the rock he is pounding flying heavenward as penance for whatever sin he had committed. God forgives as should we.

To be honest, I don't know what I am looking at. This could be a photo of a painting or a computerized creation. The sky of course clearly means it is not figurines set about in a natural pose. So what am I critiquing? The capture of the scene or the captured reproduction of another artist's creation? I just don't know. And, can consequently say really nothing.
