Would never guess it is located in the center of a city. Honestly, I thought it was a gardened moat for the castle seen to the left. This is a Yank with only a feather headed idea of what Old England looks like today. Sorry. Love the tranquility. We have parks to relax in here in the States, but never been to one as nice as this. Thank you for taking me here.
Thank you for the comments Bob, appreciated. This really is in the centre of Durham. The first tower on the left of the picture is indeed a castle, the next two towers are the cathedral. I intended to take more shots in the City but it was crowded with people & I couldn't get the perspectives I wanted. Another time!
