I remember stopping there when I was a kid. It was the only place you could stop after 200 miles on nothing. we made this trip three times from Arizona to New Jersey & back to Calif. Hwy 66 hasn't change very much from New Mexico to Calif .But it is a great road to travel if you want the road to your self ?
Beautiful nostalgic shot. My uncle owned a Mobil Station like this in the 1950's in a little town. It was the "everything place" - gas, auto repair, laundry, restrooms, etc. Takes me back.
