Nicely symbolic. Not to argue, however, I think you are being very unfair to your team. If there had not been that blown decision by the ref & line judge to disallow the goal for England before half time the score would have been tied at the half. Playing at the start of the second half from a tied position would have meant England would have had a much different and even frame of mind and strategy. But, by beginning the second half down it now had to push offensively to win. This is why they let down on defense. Also, they were not playing with confidence in the judging. So, they had to play the second half from a very 'uphill' perspective. For me, a Yank, I think you should give your boys a big hand of applause. Win or lose you always support your team. They deserve that. Cheer them!
Sorry, and my apologies to you and your countryman if this Yank is out of line. But, I suppose we have a difference in perspective. For me, defeat means that winning will be all the better for having learned from that. Let's tough it up.
