nice portrait - great eyes and expression. I just love the 85mm for this stuff.
A darker background might have helped with the contrast.

yes panchals, it is a great lens for this stuff.This was shot at 1.8 notice the bokeh this lens gives. I love it.The iso was 1600 the 20d gives very little noise even at 1600.I tried to get the contrast up with levels in ps.The lighting was not great, but I like the expression.I love new toys...thanks for looking

I suspect the lens has less to do with how good this portrait is than the face itself ... there's a whole life there.
