OMG! Me paragliding 3 weeks ago in Turkey! I was so nervous, but am so glad I managed to pluck up the courage to do it. The views were amazing! Glad I took my camera.
Takes my breath away. Of course, had to make it one of my favs. So unique! How did you manage to make such a capture and have your camera in the photo? A magician!
Have to ask: While looking at the gorgeous view below I noticed that you were wearing sandals. Were they still on when you landed?

Bob, I took the other shots posted on here with my nikon, but this one was taken by the pilot, of the two of us. He has a compact panasonic camera, specially adapted with a fisheye lens to get this type of shot, and it's attached to a pole, which he holds. i also have video of the flght as well, using the same camera.
As for the flip flops, not supposed to have these, but I didn't have shoes with me! So my very experienced pilot said he could land me safely in flip flops, I just had a problem keepng them on whilst we were gliding!!

Exciting stuff. We have many hanggliders around here and I've often wondered if it would be possible to take photos whilst aloft or whether 2 hands were needed all the time on the controls. You've answered it. Thanks
