Puts me in the mood. Can hear the waves and sea birds calling, and feel the air turning cooler has the sun descends. Beautiful capture. The clear foreground makes me feel right there. Love the sharpness to the horizon. Nice evening sky capture. Thank you.
Wonderful shot, this would be a B****R of a shot to get perfect, but you got a lot closer than I ever could. You got the rays in and the details in the rocks.

Thanks Bob, Vaughan, Angela & John, for your comments, very much appreciated.
I went on my first outing with a local photography club, & with some advice tried shots on manual setting instead of the usual auto! This is one of the better shots from the trip!

I like your composition in this. Well seen. Have you thought of using a graduated neutral density filter? You can hold back the light a few stops depending on what strength you get. Plus if you get the 4x6 you can just position it over your lens and hold it with your hand. They can really save the shot:) CatIt's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see ~ Henry David Thoreau
A very nice rocky scene. Cat is right about the graduated ND. But for this one you could crop a lot of the sky out of it - to just above the bright bit with the rays coming down from it. Viv
