Is the color set by tradition as to which color goes where? Thought it might be so the artist does not have to memorize where which color is on the pallette.


Like the capture. Colors of painters are the colors of photographers, too. Interesting idea.


When in high school took an art class. Before we were allowed to paint, the instructor taught us the elements of color on the spectrum. There is indeed a discipline to good painting as a craft. It is not simply splashing it about.
