Very interesting bridge capture. Like the bridge after bridge after bridge perspective. Honestly, though, if you don't mind a suggestion wouldn't it have been better to have cropped it just below the sun blow-out in the first bridge's super-structure. You may want to try it out and compare the results. Just a suggestion.
Alas, you are the artist. And, I but a failed novice. So whom am I to question?
I agree I could improve this photo. Given that, at the time I took this photo I deliberately shot into the sun in the hope of achieving a silhouette kind of photo which I think I've managed to achieve.
Don't mean to sound like I am arguing with you. Just offering my perspective. With respect to a silhouette, I think you can see that where the sun backs the bridge structure the structure is entirely blanked out and overcome by the sun light. So there is no silhouette here. Using direct sunlight as lighting to create a silhouette is very tricky, as I think your capture illustrates. Also, doing so can lead to very darkened contrasts. Just a thought. But, with respect to your capture your perspective trumps mine as you are the photographer. I believe your purpose is not to please me but, to please yourself. Thanks for the opporunity to address myself to you.
