Witch's Tears

Witch's Tears

There is a rock formation that lies behind a local waterfall called the Witch's Leap. A leap is an old Scottish term (apparently) for a waterfall. From the photo, it is obvious why this leap is called the witch's!

Thank you for the narration. Indeed, an interesting capture. Lovely colors and lines. Do you know the cause of the orange coloration? Never seen this before so brightly contrasted in the rock. Could it be some sort of stain from pollution or chemical? A very beautiful composition. Thank you.

Thanks for the comments. It is always nice to know that it is not just me who likes my own work! Bobwed, I think the orange is from the fact that this particular rock formation almost never gets the sun, and is constantly wet - so probably some type of algal growth - it's certainly VERY slippery down there!
