My Grand Daughter Bobby Jo - posing for me.
To get this shot I used a black background and angled a light from the floor. I used a white sheet to drape around the subject - she is kneeling in this pose and she did her own makeup
I wanted to create a statue like portrait to give the effect of being frozen. I used light room to create the black and white effect.
I am Charles - she is just starting her career as a model and we are trying to build her a portfolio. The hidden harmony is better than the obvious. Alexander Pope (1688-1744)
Very much like the all black and white affects. The gray tones of the sheet give the drape a flowing affect. It has the same affect on the model by giving the pose a sense of depth. Excellent profile perspective captured.
Congrats Linda!
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
Thank you all - my Granddaughter (who struck the pose) was exstatic to say the least - when I told her we got 3rd place she screemed awsome - what are we doing next!!!
Very nice! You certainly accomplished your goal for statue-like! Dramatic lighting. You obviously know what you are doing. Look forward to seeing more. You and your granddaughter make a great team. Congratulations to you both.
