Here's a picture of a Caspian Tern in flight. Got lucky, since I so rarely even see these birds, let alone catch one flight! It's not the most spectacular angle, and there's not much else to add visual interest to the picture, but I'll take it!
Brad, I just hate viewing posts like this one. Here is a very fine photograph. I'd love to give it a 10 rating, because to me it is a fine view of a bird I don't see often. But, I can't give it a 10 rating because the photographer is telling me in the caption that it is not a good photograph. So, I would look like an idiot giving this the rating I would like to. Seems to me you are showing no respect for yourself, your photograph, or the viewer. You got nothing to apologize for. Be proud. So I have some advice - when commenting on your own or others' photographs follow the same rule: If you got nothing good to say, say nothing!
Heh, point taken, Bob. :-) I do like the photo - heck, I'm amazed that it turned out so clearly, given how little time I had to react. I just wish that the circumstances had made for a more visually interesting picture. But it was what it was and I'm glad I got the shot... :-)
I know what its like, trying to capture a tern, the speed of the bird is bad enough, but its dodging and weaving, make hard to get any focus on them, to get any shot is good ,great shot. Angela
