Two Chicks

Two Chicks

These are two Yellow Crowned Night Heron chicks I've been following since their mom laid eggs in the nest. Once they hatch, they grow very quickly! So named because they like to fish at night. Sounds like fun.

An excellent capture. Very much like the sharp detail. Nice color. Wish you had included more in the exif. Sure would have liked to know the focal length you used to make the capture. Hope you did not disturb the nest. Well done.

The nest(s) were built on a branch just below an overpass where a stream runs through. It's probably not more than 12 feet away, so it was pretty easy to get this one!
