Seems either the d.o.f. was a touch off or the shutter a bit slow as the head and body seem to have a motion blur. Maybe the extension was a bit too far for the lens to capture accurately. I don't really know the cause but, these would be my guesses. I have mentioned this because simply ignoring your photo without a comment seems the wrong tact. Your photography by technique and subject matter is too good to ignore.
An interesting capture of a strange bird. Never seen one like this. Very much like the unique pose. Good effort - if a master photographer does not mind a snap shooter saying so.
