tomdunlop, a lot of people say they have never seen a baby pigeon, when they probably don't realise that they have seen one, probably because I think they stay in the nest until they are quite big and maybe if one is seen on its own, people might think it's an adult, whereas if seen alongside an adult pigeon, the size difference would be evident. Also I think young pigeons don't have the white markings on their neck until they are around 6 months of age!
