Why do some people do this ? As you can see someone put two rubber bands on its bill and this is its affect ( death ) ?
This is the Blue Heroin I called Ed . Most of my photo's were of him . We have spent a lot of time with each other ? One day I watch him for two hours fishing ? He was good enough to reward me with catching fore fish . Photos have put on the Blog some time ago .
He will be missed .

Angela sorry I put the wrong name this is Ed the Blue Heron ? Patch was the pelican I watch with the fisherman loading up the boats to go out . Found it just just like Ed with it's bill rubber banded also .
I was talking to the security guards at the harbor the other day . They have put out the word to all the fisher man there to keep there eyes open for ever who is doing it ?? Lets hope they catch them ?

Charles i went through all the right channel's to end angler's not discard. Line and hook's,the local paper,our council and the protection of animal's group the fire service was quick to respond, but to late,the plain and simple truth my friend is no one want's to get involed,so we let these creature's die. I found out it's the same way here ? But they are looking for who ever did this ? We have had a lot of Pelicans found the same way ? They caught a guy in Long Beach who was doing it up there to the birds ? Don't know if he got any jail time thou ?? I think they should do the same to him ???
