this was the last shot of the day ? I went to there to see if I could get some new shot's of different birds at the bay ?? On my way back to the car one couple told me there were three bobcats in a tree down the other path ? They said they were still there . when I got there two were gone but did get a few shot's of this one . was just a lucky day ? the right spot at the right time ????
A fine and beautiful photograph. These are still rather common in the nearby Santa Monica Mountains. They are primarily nocturnal. I used to run into them all the time when answering burglary calls in the mountain neighborhoods I patrolled. They pose no danger to humans as they move away quickly when they encounter you. They are a very stealthy cat. And, a lonely hunter.
