For a new project for 2012, I've decided to highlight on the human/urban landscape. I haven't done anything remotely like this before, so I'm learning on the job, and from you guys, what works & what doesn't!
It has been getting a lot of attention lately, photo manipulation is now called Digital Artistry. Anything is possible with digital.
~In His Love~ Maggi D For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
I like the side-by-side format. A nice visual comparison it offers. The interesting thing seems to me is that they are both mono photos; one being a gray scale and the other being an orange scale.
Not quite sure what your project intent is. Do you mean to apply digital artistry to your subjects as phototoad seems to remark? Or do you intend to engage in candid photography? Candid is quite a challenge when done well. Suggest you study the work of WeeGee (Arthur Felig). He sets the standard, seems to me. Good luck.
BOB: Thanks for the advice, I'm not quite sure where I'll end up with this idea; it just happens that these two images are digitally enhanced, I don't intend most to be like this, these photos seemed well suited to this.
