Excellent close up and crop. Love the contrast of the head on the body's coloration. Well done.

Excellent beautiful shot of a Coot . we did have a lot of them at our lake ? But as of right now we have no birds at all at the lake ?? We had a bad poising of the birds at the lake a few weeks ago and it killed all the birds that were there at the time ?

Thank you very much everyone, your comments are much appreciated.Sorry to here Charles about the destruction of your bird population at your local pond unfortunately there are far to many people in the world to day who have no respect whatsoever for gods creatures. but one thing is for sure they will get their day as what ever goes around comes back around. I just hope i am there when it does.

Dilwyn i have been on laguna niguel site, and they said its Avian Botulism thats killing the birds, they have moved a lot of sick bird's and they have treated them with ivf into a vein, the symtoms are the bird cannot hold its head up or shut its eye's,the bacteria as grown because of the change in the water temp, one maggot from a dead bird will kill a bird, just thought you would like to know.
