what I worked on in the Navy

As most of you know I was in the Navy for some 20 years . I was a torpedo-man first class . I was station mostly on the west coast . I spent most of my time in the Philippines & Japan . This is a view of the weapons I worked on . You mostly have seen them in war movies ? But I got to worked on them first hand. When I was in Japan I did get to work for a few months with the Japanese Navy . We were giving them some of our mark 46 torpedoes and I got to train them on the maintenance & testing on them .

it was a great time of my life and I miss it . I think the best was when we had to put out the exercise shots for the subs & destroyers ? This is when we could see just what how the torpedoes worked in the water & in the hunt . The exercise shots had a camera in the head and recorded every thing they did in the hunt & the kill ?

As of then and now I cant talk about what we did but we can say what we worked on . When I was married ( my wife has past on ) there were times I went on a job I couldn't tell her . She didn't like it but new this was what she had to put up with ? She new she not only married me but the Navy as well .
