Thanks Tomodor, it's nice to get such posative feedback on my first post. This is the only rally event I attend each year and my pictures are getting better every time. There are plenty more along these lines.
Thanks Kurt, I've gone for the rule of thirds here, the fact that the focal point of the image is offset adds a feeling of motion and speed. Think you're right, might have more impact if the whole image was cropped a little tighter though.
good capture. I would leave the image alone. The space of the right gives the feeling of speed, the track in front of the car nicely give the car space to "move into". good sharpness on the car.
-ve shame about the shadow on the windscreen; the pink tape is distracting; the background looks OOF rather than panned.
Background looks out of focus to me too (instead of being panned). I also find the tape on the right a bit distracting, but this could easily be cropped out. Apart from that, a nice capture and good photo.
I agree with panchals - the space to the right of the image says that the car has "arrived", so I would leave it alone. The reflection in the windscreen could be a distraction, but getting rid of it could be a little taxing.
