My friend Ray and his Nikon Coolpix 995 are inseparable. He goes everywhere with it. He's always looking through it. Come the day when he purchases a new camera I'm convinced that it will take a team of surgeons to amputate the old one as it's a part of him now. It seemed only appropriate that in his own portrait, he would be looking at the world through his favourite camera.
Funny one, this portrait. I bet that if you would have positioned the camera, so that the portrait itself was proportional to his body, the effect would be even stronger.
I did try to keep his head and shoulders in proportion to the rest of his body, but this was beyond the capability of my lens. I was as close to the back of the Nikon as I could get and still be able to focus.
I agree with comment number one. However I still feel that this still delivers the same impact in a way. great photo.
