This is part of a game we play. I approach as silently as possible and then the bird flies to the other side of the lake. Then we start over.

Maculatus
Fantastic timing, Focus is spot on. Only problem is that you seem to have lost a bit of shadow detail under the wing and on the legs, the subject is a little dark and not seperate enough from the backround for my liking. This is the only thing preventing a 10 rating. I suggest you try the shadow/highlight tool in Photoshop (If you have it) to try and pull a little more detail and seperation into the Heron. Apologies for the lengthy critique.
