This shot was not cropped at all. After 26 miles, she was running very fast to get to the finish line and was very close to me. No time to frame a perfect shot, with her moving forward, up and down, and occasionally sideways (she was VERY tired). I felt very fortunate to get this shot. I am still moved when I think of her incredible spirit.
wow. great shot. i like how she is jumping out of the picture almost. briliant colours and the edges and focus of the runner stand out superbly. like you say, a very lucky capture!
Awesome capture of a powerful moment. Moved is your discriptive word, aptly put for your speedy shot. Great Pan in all directions. Well done.
Be Cool, don't freeze...
wow - fantastic capture. super shutter and panning to get just enough blur and such great sharpness on the runner. your framing is spot on just enough in front and a little behind. love that you got the rails too. The image tells the whole story 8)
Very nice to hear from all of you. Really appreciate your kindness. There is NOTHING better. Desertpea, did contact the marathon people and am trying to get in touch with her. P.S. She did sign a release re photos so it's OK to post. I checked on that.
