Certainly some tension in this shot the shadows work well to set the scene, however I think I would have prefered a little less contrast and more detail.

Aesthetics in this shot are certainly disturbing. Don't know that I would want someone pointing a gun at me while I'm trying to take a photo. Agree about the contrast, white burnouts, which you may have been trying to achieve, but not sure that they work.

Hello guys. thanks for the comments appreciate your input. Im new here so nice to have some feedback on the photos. The high contrast is deliberate for 2 reasons. it was quite a darkly lit photograph in a saloon bar at the texas hollywood studios near where i live. there was not a massive amount of detail to pull out unless i blitzed the exposure in processing. That and i liked the high contrast i think it adds to the mood of the shot and makes it look a bit more dramatic and moody.Thanks again though

Personally I realy like this shot just the way it is. You have enhanced the drama by using the contrast in this way. A great shot! (no pun intended)

ha ha. thanks sacon. i guess its everyones taste i wouldnt always go so much on contrast but i think it works in this case.
