I agree, the sky could have been cut down to a third of the frame. The picture also seems kinda grainy - or is this me? I would have given a 9 except I am so damn jealous that you were there to take this picture and not me! ;-)
Case in point : This one was also posted previously. Unless the balloons are a little higher, I can't see a difference between this and the other one. It's a beautiful photo and I gave it a high score last time. But how is it different?
hi, thanks for the comments, as you probably noticed the blue from the sky is only at the very upper end if I cut it we wont have blue anymore but only the redish dust (its very dusty there during the dry season) actually it was shown before already but only in the travel section, the photo of the month attracts more viewer so its here. thanks for the comments, for punky, you can go there every day. just go to bangkok, get a visa in the myanmar embassy, takes one day, needs 3 photo, one passport. the return ticket from bangkok to yangon is about $150,- from bangkok. in yangon go to the summit parkview hotel-you can book this through the internet for $ 25,- / night. acceptable hotel, just almost in front of the shwedagon pagoda. in yangon buy a ticket with yangon air to bagan $ 140,- 2 way and book a hotel for about $25,- / night well and thats it. the little problem is that the balloon operator a US or Australiean guy wants $ 250,-/person for the balloon ride. but you can have the same view by climbing up one of the pagodas, hire a guide. if you can spend some money I would suggest hire Mr. Bagan Maung Maung, he has a small shop at the Ananda Temple entrance - just ask-, he is one of the most famous photographer in the country and is glad to be with you for a day to show you the best shooting places, noone will ever find exept him - trust me I hired him for 3 days a few times-, his charge for the day is somewhere between $ 50-100 negotiable. you can find all this and more at www.allmyanmar.com
