bago or pegu is a small town 120km east of Yangon, Burma, Myanmar. About 1000 years ago and also during colonial times this was a very well known city. Now the city is in not so good conditions but is very interesting from a tourist point of view. Bago this days is know for woodworks, they make beautiful objects from padauk rootwood, it looks better than the one used for the dashboard of a rolls royce or maybach/ mercedes benz cars. pls. visit www.allmyanmar.com for more.
