Nice one, a touching family portrait. Would be better without shadow and frame behind. Invest in a piece of black velvet to use as a makeshift backdrop.

IMHO Love,Joy,Happiness the subjects are the picture,Not what's going on in the background,By the time you'd have put up the makeshift backdrop,the moment would have been lost.

I take your point Deep1, though may I suggest that many images that appear to depict a fleeting moment have in fact been staged. (I am not suggesting that this is the case with this particular image however.)

The shot was supposed to be them having a quick kiss, father, daughter kiss!!

but dad could not stop laughing and thats how it ended up

I love nautral shots, even though this was originally staged, this was the result of them both laughing

Nice shot. Yes shadow takes the edge off a tad, its still good though. You are dead right to stick to non staged ones, they look soooo corny!
