I like the black and white aspect of this gecko shot, but I do wish more of him, or all of him, were as sharp as his eyes...or more gradual perhaps.

I would have liked to have his nose in focus as well as his eyes, but intiguing photo nonetheless. I do find the copyright distracting though, is it really needed?
I like the abstract nature of this one, caused by the extremely small depth of field. The viewers attention is focused well on the eyes. I also like the use of the lighting and black and white image, coupled with the unusual composition. The result is something that's very different. Good effort.
Thanks for the comments. I have seen many photos of subjects where the whole subject was in focus (which also would have been a LOT easier!), the object of this photo was only to have a very small DOF. I would have prefered both eyes being 100% sharp, but it was tricky to get even one eye in the correct plane. The copyright is just a hangover from a copy sent elsewhere, I just uploaded the same photo here.
This keeps popping up in random images and every time I have to look, it's so original and definately interesting. I love it I'd like to give it a 10 but am sure I would be slated by everybody as it is not technically traditional. It certainly has the 'it' factor tho.
