Very nice, unsure as to whether there is a little too much sky for me but a beautiful image, with the sun slicing straight throught to the wave at the front, nice capture. Good use of colour detail too.
Good color strong foreground good idea on the small aperture for the star effect on the sun. I agree with potto about the sky. IMO a "slight" crop at the top would also remove that bit of cloud and make this a 9.
I understand where you're coming from about the crop - the image was originally cropped that way. However, I felt that it unbalanced the photo too much as the horizon was too high, and I didn't want to lose the foreground...
Maybe I'll just paste in a more interesting sky :-)

love the contrast in textures from the rought rocks to the smooth sky. also the waves crashing on the rocks are frozen and look like plastic bags, it is very interesting. i like it alot.
