nice portrait, blown out a bit at top which is a little distracting and would like to see more of left eye too, but nice and sharp over rest of pic and pleasing image overall imo. (black and white is very nice in portraits, but can easily become drab and flat if tones contrasts and levels not right.getting good lighting is just as important.imo)
and yes, I've got two lurchers, one like this (Jethro) but black and tan, and one three quarter collie quarter greyhound called Cleo. My old bc just died a few weeks ago.

Lurchers are gorgeous and lovely natured Janzark, a beautiful breed of dog to bring up with kids imo, Hobbit is a Bearder Collie x Whippet Greyhound, I have owned whippets, whippet greyhounds and greyhounds all incredible dogs, the only other true lurcher I owned was a Whippet Greyhound x Elkhound x Deerhound. His name was Rambo and built like a brick outhouse again sorry to hear about your Bc
