Very nice picture with a good tonal range, would love it to have sharper focus and see more of the detail in your grandpas face and what he is doing with his supper and that bird and feathers. Lovely shot anyway and what a great subject...I would be getting him to model some more if he is willing looks like a great subject.
This is lovely, allsorts, the dappled light, the feathers on the box and ground., the air of total commitment to what he's doing. The softness adds an empathy with your subject and suggests that this is a guy who's done this before, knows the country life and could teach us all a lot about ecology. First class.
Just stumbled across this. I like it. I recently lost my own grandfather (at 96), a man whom I've seen doing this exact job--not to mention other jobs that seem exotic to my suburban and urban peers, but which are mundane to farm folk. Nicely done.
