I like it, however, it seems stuck between a shot with detail and a silhouette.
I would have been tempted to up the contrast and go for the silhouette.

If you did go for detail maybe a little trickle of blood for effect!

I think the fact its not a silhouette is something to be proud of. I loathe the thought of being told what is right and not. Maybe lacks the knockout punch it could have, but good, and good for not sticking to the tedious photographers book of corny shots that plague this site!
