Actually I remember the Pilchard Inn as being pretty scruffy but good fun. The Hotel was being renovated by friends of a friend who carried all the Art Deco furniture they'd bought for it in London down there in a Citroen 2CV. It's a lovely area and looks like it hasn't been over developed.
