No the man was in the shot. It's evening light which might explain the darkness of the figure. Thank you for your comments

Quite a poignant shot, with the figure's hunched shoulders suggesting he's dwelling on something. There's a nice diagonal in the composition from the rock through the man to the distant tower; don't know if you consciously recognised this at the time or simply felt it but it works well. I'd be tempted to crop to leave a square frame.

Thank you aderixon. I was aware of the diagonal at the time and will now try the crop as you suggest to see if it strengthens the composition

Just my personal taste, but the man seems a bit too dark for the rest of the photo. It makes him seem even more insignificant than we already are. Smile Would love to see this with him blending in more. That said, it's still a lovely photo and well done.
