Interesting image, although the sky doesn't work for me. I am guessing the sky was pretty grey and featureless and that is reflected in the flatness of light on the house and fence and is incongruent with the sky.
Maybe try a cloudy sky and make the whole image B&W and give it a foreboding feel. Only an idea.
