New Brighton, Wirral, has one of the countries most beautiful lighthouses. Lovingly restored to its original condition. I have shot it many times, and rarely come away without something good.
This was shot using a Cokin sunset filter, sadly cant remember the rest of the details, sorry.

Very nice shot. Nearly perfect, but can't figure out what the white outline is above the lantern housing. Looks like oversharpening, but it may not be, since I don't see it to this extent anywhere else. Reply?
wow, what lovely comments to log onto,thank you all so much. Etfon911, it certainly does appear to be oversharpening. There is a small cluster of aeriel type projections at the top, and the sharpening appears to have had an effect right there,nevernoticed it before,so thank you for pointing it out.
