West Kirby Boat

Taken a few weeks ago, while coming home from dropping Fliss at dancing class.

This was shot in RAW, opened into PS CS2, saturation boosted about 10%, sharpened, and a complimentary border added. 1/500th sec, and f6.3, pattern metered. Otherwise, all is as it was originally shot.

Feedback is welcome, and so are modifications, so help yourself.

Kind regards

Anthony

Think it looks great anthony. Not keen on frame, wrong size for picture, but thats a minor detail.
p.s. bet it would look good in b/w too.

How straight is that horizon, don't like to sound repititive - but why the frame, top shot though.

Patterns and colours in the sand are excellent. Very well exposed and framed. Ditto the ‘frame’ comments above. It’s such a ‘minimalist’ shot that I’d be tempted to retain only one item (the boat) to set this off against, so I’d clone out the yellow buoy and the two small items to the right of the boat …… but that’s just a personal thing. A very good shot indeedy

thank you very much everyone. I have been experimenting with frames recently, and I suppose I neglected the size the image would be shown here, compared with the size of the frame. I will upload a revised shot to see what you think. Cheers again.
