Not sure if I've submitted this before (and deleted it), but I've just learnt about the "Screen" layer mode in Photoshop which helped bring out more of the foreground.

Thanks,
Gav

Super capture. Love the dark colours and moodiness of the shot.

I agree with rjvc, the dark blue tones give a lot of mood to the photo. Do you remember the how the shot was taken? Did you have a polarizer to get the blues this dark? What effect would a polarizer have on the sum beams poking through the cloulds? I'm fairly new to photography, and I've been reading a lot about filters, and wondering what, if anything, filters can do that photoshop can't. Great shot, cheers, Flammer

lovely shot, but personally I would have preferred more natural looking colour as I presume this was not true to nature, although the blue does make a stunning shot.

Thanks for the comments, appreciated. This shot was taken handheld with no filters on at all. The blue comes from the White Balance setting I had on the camera when I took it. I've then just adjusted the levels (and applied a screen layer).

Thanks,
Gav
